How to Organize John Deere Party?
If your child loves tractors, then John Deere birthday party theme is ideal for him.
Invitations
You should make John Deere party invitations in a shape of a tractor. Find a good picture of a tractor and outline (or copy) it on card paper. Let the birthday child help you color the tractor in green. Then cut out the tractor shapes, and write all your John Deere birthday party details on the backs.
Decorations
John Deere Party Supplies
You should keep in mind that the main colors for the John Deere party should be yellow and green with black accents. Cover the party table in a green table cloth. Use yellow plates (wheels) with black cutlery. On the table place hay bales or John Deere tractors and tie green, yellow and black helium balloons to them. Another variant is to place bright yellow sunflowers in mason jars (or glass vases) on the table and tie with a green bandana or ribbon. Place black or green rocks, pebbles or marbles at the bottom of the container that holds the flowers.
A good idea is to put some nice farm theme posters on the walls inside the house. You can also get removable John Deere party wall decorations, and tape them on the walls.
If you have any stuffed animal toys (e.g., chickens, dogs, cows, pigs, etc.), spread them around the area. Place flower pots near the windows and furniture.

John Deere Birthday Party Games
Wheelbarrow Race
This is a fun relay type race to play with two teams. Players choose partners and the first child gets on their hands and knees while the second player grabs their feet and lifts their feet off the ground. They run wheelbarrow style around a marker or a cone at the opposite side of the play area and then back to their team so the next pair can go.
Water the Crops
You will need 2 large tubs filled with water and two smaller containers that are equal in size. The idea is to get water from the larger containers, run across an area (minimum 20 feet) and put the water into the smaller containers. The team that fills their container first wins. There are several ways to do this – you can transfer the water using spoons, sponges or, our personal favorite, plastic cups with a few holes punched in the bottom.
You should divide the guests into 2 teams and have them line up behind one another. One by one they take their “water carrier” and dip it into the big bucket – run across the play area and then put the water into the smaller container. Then they run back and hand off to the next player on their team. This continues until one team has filled their water container to the top – or to a pre-determined mark.
Cow Patty Toss
You will need brown Frisbees and several hula hoops or large baskets for this game. Divide the party guests into 2 teams and have them line up behind one another at one side of the play area. At the other side of the play area place hula hoops or large baskets in a pyramid shape – these are the targets that they will be throwing their “cow patty” into to score points. Tag each target with a different point value.
Give each player three tries to make as many points as they can. It’s good to note that this game can be played individually too.
Needle in a Haystack
You will need a large container full of hay, Styrofoam peanuts, raffia or shredded newspaper and something for the party guests to find – the “needle” – such as small toys, candies or John Deere stickers on yellow paper. Hide the items in the container and let the party guest search for them. Give them a time limit and see how many they can find.
John Deere Birthday Cake
John Deere Tractor Cake: Bake a regular large sheet cake. Frost the cake green for “grass.” Then add barn and tractor cake toppers. Use pretzel sticks to create a “corral” and sprinkle cocoa powder to make “dirt.” Finish you farm scene by making rows of “plants” with little candies. Place barn animal figurines all over.

Farm Animal Sandwiches Make regular sandwiches. Cut them into various animal shapes (pig, dog, cow, duck, etc.) using animal-shape cookie cutters.
Vegetable Garden Serve various kinds of vegetables that can be found in the garden. For younger kids who still need soft food, serve the vegetables steamed.
Ice Cream Piglets Scoop a large cherry or pink ice cream ball onto a cupcake wrapper for each child, and place on a cookie sheet. Add 2 chocolate chips for the pig’s eyes. Use a melon ball scoop to add a second ice cream ball for the nose, adding two more chocolate chips for the nostrils. Push in pink jelly beans for ears and create eyebrows with decorator gel.
Twist licorice into spiral pig tails and insert one into the side of each piglet. Store the sheet in a freezer until serving time.
