If you are planning to organize a great birthday party for your kid, then don’t forget to prepair some birthday party hats. Hats are certainly a fun way to decorate a party area and the people there! Actually it doesn’t matter, whether they are store-bought or handmade. When the children put on a party hat, they are ready for fun. If you prefer handmade birthday party hats, you can either make them before the party, or you can let the kids make the hats themselves.

So for everyone, who are ready to make birthday party hats with their own hands, there are instructions below.

Happy birthday party hat

1. First of all you’ll need to get some heavy construction paper or some flexible poster board. It will make for the base of the hat. Actually one of the best materials to make a birthday party hat from is craft foam.

When working with craft foam, use tacky glue or a hot glue gun. Regular school glue won’t work. Remember that you’ll also need hole punches and rulers to make hats.

2. So after prepairing all the materials you should cut the paper so it’s a square not a rectangle. Use wavy decorating scissors for more detail around the brim. Make sure that the hats will fit on the kids or adults at the party (a suitable size usually is 8×8 inches).

Then staple the ends together in two or three different places. Make sure that the staples bent all the way in so they don’t hurt anyone.

Fantastic birthday party hat

3. The next step is to add some decoration on the hats. So you can use foam stickers, construction paper and markers in order to make the hats more suitable for the theme of the party. You can also put frizzy cotton balls on the point of the hat. This can be done with a little bit of hot glue.

4. If you have a younger audience, you might want to put strings around the bottom of the hat. Take a hole puncher and punch a hole on a side and another one directly across from it. Instead of using regular old string, use fuzzy yarn. When attaching the string, have a little extra support by stapling the ends of the string to the hat.

Probably every guest would like to have a unique birthday party hat, which is prepaired especially for him/her. So make every hat a little different. Besides if you have eight boys and eight girls, don’t make all of the hats Barbie. You can simply make, for instance, eight Spider man or Star Wars and eight Barbie.

If you are going to organize a kid birthday party, the first thing to do are invitations. You can buy invitations in many fun themes. And these invitations can be personalized invitations with your child’s photo, name, age and party info.

But if you decide to make invitations, then you’ll need first of all a bit if imagination. You can also ask your child to help you with cutting, pasting, coloring, or applying stickers to the invitations. Be sure, your kid will love the process of making invitations very much!

After the invitations are ready, next step is to decide, how to deliver them. You can simply mail invitations. However it’ll be nice, if you have a chance to hand-deliver the invitations (to neighbors, classmates or team mates). It can be done in different funny ways. Again, all depends on you imagination and time. For example, you can hand-deliver a note in a bottle for a Pirate Party or a toy dinosaur enclosed with a Dinosaur Party invitation. It’s up to you!

Kid Birthday Party Invitation

But you should keep in mind that in many schools school teachers do not allow birthday party invitations to be distributed at school unless all children in the class are invited.

Remember that invitations should be timed to reach the guests approximately two weeks before the party. It’s important, because this interval gives enough time for guests to “hold the date”. It also allows enough time to collect RSVPs before you make the final purchases of party supplies. Please, request RSVPs by phone or e-mail one week before the party. Some parents may ask for gift ideas when they call to RSVP. So have a few ideas in mind!

So now a few words about the information that an invitation should provide the guest with:

party occasion

party host (your child’s first and last name)

day and date of party

start and end time of party

party location and address

RSVP deadline and phone number and e-mail address

rain plan (if outdoor party)

Invitation to kid birthday party

You can also include special information or requests, if needed. For example, you can write few words about costumes required for the guests, if it is planning to be a theme birthday party.

If you want parents to stay for the party, then include this infirmation in the invitation or simply discuss it when you accept the RSVP. Otherwise, it will be assumed that it is up to the parent if he/she wants to stay. Many parents will certainly stay, if their child is younger than five years old.

If you can’t accommodate siblings of invited guests, tactfully discuss this when you accept the RSVP.

If the party location isn’t well known, then you should enclose a map.

And the last but not the least are Thank You notes. Please, don’t forget to buy them and send after the party.

If you want to organize a fantastic birthday party for your son, the pirate birthday party is an excellent choice.
First of all, you should prepare invitations for the guests. Here are some tips that can help you.

It’s a brilliant idea to help your guests find their way to the pirate birthday party with treasure map invitations. So you can draw a diagram of your neighborhood including houses of the guests and your own house too. You should mark your house with X.

Draw some familiar sights. Then you’ll need a piece of imagination. Give these sights creative names, for example, such as Dead Man’s Mall or Hangman’s Tree.

Photocopy the map on brown paper.

Draw a dotted line path from each child’s house to the place, where the party will take place.

Then burn or tear the edges of the map. Roll the maps into scrolls. Secure with gold strings. And, finally, mail.

Younger children would like the idea of receiving pirate coloring pages. Photocopy original black and white picture a number of times. Next, write your party details on the back side. The children can color the invites when they get them.

Don’t forget to ask your guests to wear pirate costumes. You can also organize a contest and give awards for the scariest costume.

What about birthday party decorations? Everybody knows that the best pirate birthday party decoration colors are red and black. You’ll need balloons and streamers. You can also make a poster which says: “Ahoy – Welcome Aboard!”. Put it up on the front door. Decorate the party area with pirate related posters too. Place a skeleton in the yard and have it pointing towards the house. It’s a good idea to make a treasure chest in the area. Moreover, if you have enough time, then you can make a pirate ship. It’s up to you.

Boy Pirate Birthday Party

Surely you’ll need to prepair funny birthday party games for the kids. There are some games following, that you can use during the party.

Pirate Coin Dig: You’ll need a sandbox or a wading pool with “pirate” coins. Provide the kids with shovels and get them to find as many coins as they can in one minute.

The Pirates’ Cave: You’ll need a refrigerator (or sofa) boxes. Create a maze out of them in your backyard or a big room. Then duck tape the boxes together for the kids to crawl through. Have artificial spider webs and plastic spiders for a real cave atmosphere.

Hook the Treasure: You should prepare colored plastic drink cups. They should be large enough to fit a kid’s hand into. Cut an X hole in the bottom and push a wrapped candy cane halfway down into it. Then empty a large bag of pretzels into a bowl. See how many pretzels the kids can fish out with their “hooks” in one minute.

Now it’s time to think about pirate birthday party food and drinks. Here are some recipes.

Pirate Pinwheels: You should Spread a thin layer of cream cheese on tortillas. Then top with a layer of assorted lunch meat and/or cheese. Roll up and secure with toothpicks. Refrigerate for at least one hour. Then you should cut into 1″ slices before serving. You can add mayo or mustard instead of cream cheese.

Potato Wedges: Wash and scrub five medium potatoes. Then dry them with a paper towel. Cut potatoes into wedges. Place the wedges into a large bowl and mix with 2 tbsp of olive oil. Then put them into a baking dish. Cook in a hot oven for 40 minutes.

Buccaneer Banana Bread: In a large bowl, mash three large bananas with a fork. Then beat one egg. Add the egg and 1/2 cup melted butter to the bananas. Mix well. In a small bowl, mix 1 cup sugar, 1 1/2 cups flour, 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp baking soda, and add to banana mixture. Pour the combined mixture into a greased loaf pan and bake at 325°F for about 1 1/4 hours or until ready. You can add one cup chocolate chips, blueberries, or chopped nuts.

Hotdogs, Chicken Legs and Wings or Fish ‘n Chips are also the way out.

As for the pirate birthday party cakes, there is a recipe of a tasty “Treasure Chest Cake”. You should bake a rectangular cake. Frost it with chocolate frosting. Then you should decorate the cake with colorful sprinkles and chocolate gold coins to make it look like a chest lid. Clean the baking pan, then frost the outside of the pan. You should set the pan at a right angle to the cake to form a treasure chest. Finally, fill the chest with candy jewelry and chocolate gold coins.

What about pirate birthday party drinks? Here are several good recipes.

Pirate Punch: You should mix a 32-oz can of pineapple juice, one 12-oz can of orange juice concentrate, one 6-oz can of lemonade concentrate, five cups of cold water, one quart of 7-Up, and a quart of rainbow sherbet. Then chill until ready. Serve to the gang. You can also add some slices of banana, orange, kiwi, or float cherries in the bowl for an added twist.

Red Ruby Punch: The night before the party, fill ice trays with red fruit punch. Serve lemon lime soda with red ruby ice cubes in clear plastic cups.

Apple Cider is also a great idea.

Girl birthday party can be a fairy and a very special day for every girl. If you are you planning a girls birthday party, then you should think about the theme of the party. Think of what actually your daughter like. May be she loves princesses, fairies and animals. Or may be she will prefer to have a tea party. There are lots of themes for girl birth day party.

What about princess birthday party? Only think – what little girl doesn’t dream of being a princess. Even if just for one day? And every parent can make this dream come true. Isn’t it amazing? You can create a princess birthday party with themes including Disney Princesses, such as Cinderella and Snow White and many other characters. We are ready to share our experience with you.

Actually, the theme of a princess birthday party is popular among girls aged three through eight.

Princess party planning

So first of all, party planning. Begin planning your princess party six to eight weeks in advance. So you’ll have enough time to gather all the supplies. You’ll need princess party decorations, gifts, and menu items.

Princess birthday party

Planning ahead is also important for the guests. It gives time to RSVP and make travel plans. Moreover, it may increase your party’s attendance. But don’t worry if you are short of time. You can still plan a great party!

Princess Party Invitations

What about Princess Party Invitations?Actually there are two ways out. You can simply buy personalized (with your child’s name), pre-printed (with the party details), or blank princess party invitations. Another way out is to create your own princess party invitations. If you choose the second one, then you can find some helpful recipes bellow.

First step is the following: fold a sheet of construction paper or card stock in half to create a card-style invitation. Then print out a picture of your daughter’s favorite princess (Snow White, Jasmine), paste it to the front. Write the words “You’re Invited” next to the picture and include all the party details on the inside.

Then you should сut the shape of a tiara out of card stock, run a glue stick around the outside edges and sprinkle pink glitter on top. Write all the party details within the glitter border.

You should punch a hole in the corner of a card-style invitation and tie it to a princess wand. It is also a good idea to hand-deliver each guest’s invitation.

Visit your local scrapbook store and pick up some princess-themed die cuts, for example, a castle, a horse and carriage, or princess dresses. These simple things can can turn a plain card into a fantastic invitation.

And finally, mail card-style invitations in padded envelopes. You can also include a few pieces of costume jewelry or a ring pop inside.

Again, remember to write some special instructions on the invitations. If you are planning a costume party, then as your guests to dress up like their favorite princess.

And the last but not the list are the princess party supplies and favors. Usually the traditional party supplies are the cups, plates, streamers, and balloons. But you can also rent or buy teacups, tiaras, costume jewelry and a princess-themed movie( Cinderella or Beauty and the Beast).

You should prepair some goodie bags. In this case think about princess party favors like a glittery clutch purse, a tiara, or a DVD. Or you can make a favor bag filled with stickers, costume jewelry, or nail polish.

Nobody can deny that birthday is a special day for everybody. And of course it is true for children, even for toddlers. Birthday parties are those memories that will last a lifetime.

Surely you want kid’s birthday to be fun. Also you want your kid to feel very special.
So then you need a little fun creativity mixed with a measure of organization.
First of all think about what kind of party your child would really like. Then think about ways to put your child’s party together. Anyway, you should remember that your child’s birthday party only happens once a year. Their party should be special and memorable.
In order to help you to organize and plan a special party for your child we’ve prepared 7 steps to a successful birthday party.

1. Kid Birthday Party Ideas

Nowadays theme parties are very popular. Telling the truth deciding on a theme is quite easy.
For example the themes can be based on a favorite movie, book, cartoon, character, sport, or activity. Just think about what does your child like. Is your son interested in pirates? Does your daughter want to be a princess? Does your child like animals or cars? If your child is old enough, you can ask them what kind of theme they’d like. However you should keep in mind your budget and the location of the party.

Kid birthday party

2. Invitations to kid birthday party

If your child isn’t old enough to enumirate all the guests, then it’ll be up to you. But if the situation is different, then you and your child decide who to invite. In any case, you send out the invitations and hope most of the kids show up. Of course you should be creative. Get into the spirit of your theme. And please, don’t forget to include the day and date of your party, the party location and the time your party will begin and end. If your party is going to be a theme costume party, then be sure to include that information too. It’s important to ask invited guests to RSVP by a certain date. So you’ll know how many to expect.
So then you can either mail your invitations, or have someone, dressed up in costume, hand deliver your invitations, speaking in the character, for example, of a royal subject.

3. Birthbay Party Decorations

It’s a good idea to go to an online party store. There you’ll find all you need: balloons, streamers, personalized banners, door covers, posters and what not. Remember to decorate the door leading into your party location. You can also make your party easy to find by decorating your mail box or door with theme balloons and streamers.

4. Party Supply

At an online party store you’ll also find such paper goods to match just about any party theme as plates, cups, forks, spoons, bowls, table covers and napkins.

5. Party Activities

You should start your party the moment your first guest arrives. You can use theme related coloring pages, puzzles, or you can pick up a theme related craft. Surely this is a great ice breaker and a good way to keep everyone busy.

6. Party Games
